Task Groups

The membership of Partners in Family & Community Development may form whatever task groups it deems necessary to perform its duties and accomplish its mission.  The number of task groups operating at any time remains fluid depending on the needs of the County.  It is anticipated that issues will surface in the community that impact the welfare of its residents and whose solutions fit into accomplishing the vision, mission and goals of the collaborative.  Partners interested in working on these issues will see PFCD as an umbrella organization that can assist the Partners in achieving objectives for the common good of the County.  Presently, task groups have been formed to work on these major areas: Poverty Task Group and Communities That Care which focuses on Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Substance use and abuse.  These task groups will function as working planning groups.

Primary Goal of each Task Group

Identify gaps in service and ways to close those gaps by working together

Steps to reach these goals:

  • Identify resources and services in the County
  • Collect measurable baseline data
  • Identify research based methods proven effective that will fill those identified gaps in services or resources
  • Identify the agency or agencies which will be most capable of filling those gaps in services or resources
  • Identify ways to assist these agencies with financial or other resources to ensure that these gaps are being filled
